Take the last 1/4 ($250K), divide by 20 years, divide again by months...... and I'll have extra $1.04K a mth, no including my pay, as extra spending money..... :bsmilie:

Honestly speaking, SGD 1 Million cant do much. Cant even buy a landed property here. 1st thing to do is to leave Singapore and find a cheaper place to live. I will use the $$ to fulfill my dream.. travel the whole world to shoot. :lovegrin:

I think this will be my first step towards my Financial freedom.

I will simply re-invest most of it ..

25 % may be in government bonds
25 % in Equities
20 % in Commodities like gold wine etc
15 % buy a 2nd hand house and rent it out or buy some land
15 % keep cash in hand for any new investment opportunity ..

the breakup can be anything buy yes bulk of it will be re-invested ..

Most probably keep to earn interest. At just 1% per annum means $833 monthly, you can just call an early retirement. But no i will still work. That extra money per month i can think how to use it, buy something i want, for the family, pick up some self learning improvement course and so on. dividing 1,000,000 by 833 means a similar amount to use for 100years but i won't just spend it all. keep the principal amount for the rain.
