continue to use loh....... sigma lens are like that..... but the new generation sigma lens does not have such coating liao

Nothing new. We knew about this problem with (some) Sigma lenses more than 10 years ago.

I am continuing to use my 10-20mm until it becomes impractical to do so (e.g. the distance markings can't be seen, and I don't come up with a good solution to keep them where they are).

it feels & looks weird.. to the extend that im afraid to grip the lens.. hah!

should i try gaffer tape?

For my 18-55mm Sigma the MF/AF switch is damaged because it once dropped to the floor.

It could auto focus but couldn't manual focus which I used all the time.

I stuck a part of toothpick to hold the MF/AF switch in position. It seemed to be working fine. I have been using it this way for more than 1/2 a year.

Peel it totally naked and put on some nice carbon gaffer tape?
