What will be announced?

should i buy the 650d now or wait till the 22nd march annoucement? would prices drop immediately? i want to catch the canon online warranty promo before it ends on the 24th...

Retailing at $999 now. If 700D is launched, by the time it reaches Singapore, the price of 650D might hold for awhile before going down to $849 - $799 based on the trend of 600D price. You decide if the freebies are worth the value. If 650D has all you need, no point waiting for 700D as the price will likely be from $1,199/$1,299 onwards.

If you have a canon camera, give a call to canon singapore and ask for the priviledge puchase program (trade in your old canon cam). You will get about 18% off the retail price which usually works out to be abit cheaper than the shops outside

that is quite right...indeed, i think the value of the freebies are worth it. thanks for the input guys =)

I can only thank Canon for helping me to save money.

Actually, I think the refresh isn't too bad. I see the 100D more as a 1100D replacement in the near future. A new sensor would have been nice but I guess that's all they got for the coming years. It's good enough.

What are you going to buy?

Wouldn't that be off-topic? Nikon A and either the D600 or the 6D.

Good luck!

Thanks! I would definitely need that for the D600. ;) I buy my stuff at amazon.co.jp so I can always return it if I don't like it. The 6D would be my first choice if Canon had a great wide angle zoom. In the end the camera body is not that important.

I was using the D700 and 5D2 side by side. Now Nikon has better WA glass and better sensor but I would be quite concerned with the dust issue with the D600. 6D has less issues and if AF is not important you can mount both Nikon and Zeiss lenses on the 6D.

Sorry for OT but there isn't much to be said about the new Canon releases unless we're newbies.

the 16-35 f2.8 mk2 can be a 35mm f2.8. very popular focal length for street photography:thumbsup:

think the most rumours received was '7D Mk2".

Hope they will announce the new 70D soon...with new stuffs with better image

Brand new local Canon warranty EOS 650D body alone is selling at $800++ now.

I hope that they announce the 70D with a totally new sensor so that we can know that Canon is serious about catching up on sensor technology... particularly in the DR area.
