1. lol how u know i buy haha. I'm a fan of artisan & artist and fogg bags. I'm very interested in the wotancraft "Scout", but dunno whether I will buy it. Abit too loud - I dun like to attract attention to my bag. I like my bag to be low key. Nowadays, I focus more on internal padding solutions instead of bags. If you buy good internal padding, you can put your camera in ANY bag. No need to specialist camera bag

2. the strap in the OT is a Luigi strap that is now discontinued. Luigi's new range called "essential straps" are built along the same lines. However, courtesy of my HKLFC gor gor Pandachief, he kindly advised me that Luigi's new essential strap range uses leather which is tougher than the old version. Not sure if this is true, coz mine has not arrived yet. (I am inclined to think good leather can always be softened through use and leather oils). Anyway, the advantage of the camera strap without a metal ring is that it preserves the lug on the leica. As you may know, a worn out lug is not easy to replace because it needs major surgery on the camera.

I've had a Billingham Hadley for 4 years, now its all worn in and very comfortable. I'd feel that wearing in your own bag is much better than getting one already distressed. Currently wearing in my Brady bag which I've had for about 6 months.

Leather will naturally soften after prolonged use, adding mink oil or other essential oils helps to keep the leather supple. It's like my leather saddle for my bicycle, super hard for the first year, after which the leather softens and becomes very comfortable to ride on.

Yeah, that's the same reason why I bought this leather strap.

how do i place the order online? i don't see any tab in the webby that i can place the order. anybody can help me on this?

I think Mr Zhou sells this strap in his ebay store too.

My luigi 'essential' strap arrive today. I highly recommend it. Its soft leather and gets even softer with use. Its also the kind of high grade fine grain leather that shows tannins and character with prolong use.

Most importantly Since it has no metal ring, it will not wear and tear the strap lug on the camera.

As usual, ordering from luigi is quite painful. He does not exactly say on ebay what colors are available, so i had to hunt around his website to find his leather color names for half cases to get an idea. After placing an order i receive a warning about the horrors of italian post office and how it might take more than 30 days to arrive. Eventually it only took abt 2 weeks.
