What should i get? with the A1

Hmmm...I think I would get an E-Quote from Cathay. Try my luck then...If I can kill the price all the way down to $230. I would rather spend $20 more than get a second hand flash. Btw, anyone tried the 5600hs flash? Also, when will stock for the battery grip be coming? I need one urgently..Would rather get battery grip first than the flash..
I am not a MS loyalist. One of their sales staff pissed me off twice. But their price is better and I live in Sembawang so its not problem for me. I still remeber the time I got my A1 from them. I called and I knew it was that tall guy who picked up the phone. I already have an equote from them and I ask whether got stock or not. He bluntly say A1 NO stock! I was pissed and made the trip there 1 hr later and presented equote. Another guy served me and say "Of course got stock, if you want 2-3 also have." ;( What the hell?
After I bought the A1, I asked for a UV filter. And guess what, this guy ask that tall guy again. The tall guy said "good price for you only -S$15". I was thinking this guy is nuts. $15 for a UV filter. I can get 2 already. He must think I am "vegetable head".
I concluded that if you must buy from them, unless you know the sales people, GET AN EQUOTE! No long term relationship there ! ;(

No offence to the seller but I will go for a new piece. I personally don't think that A1 buyers are low on budget and $20-$30 is something personally I won't go out to save.
Anyway, the second market price for the 3600 HS(D) is around $180. That would at least be the price to consider.

I think the price of the 5600 HS (D) is around $560 - $580. Can't remember though. Don't know about the second hand market for this flash as haven't really seen anyone selling.
Personally I don't really shoot even with the in built flash. A1 is sensitive enough for most situations. The most I would go for is a 3600 HS (D) eventually if I want to take flash photography to the next lap. I think if I were you, I would look at extra batt first. Cheers A1er

Guess what! Went down to Cathay Photo at Marina Square to get a dry cabinet today and when I asked if they could give me a little more discount on the 3600HS(d) flash, they said the best price was $255.....I wonder how you guys get it for $230....I was there for half an hour asking for a lower price but the guy said no....Also, just called MS colours and they quoted me $250 however, the salesman there said they were out of stock....I am wondering if it is true that they are out of stock......
