Hi,
I will be heading to Koh Samui in Oct and of course, i'll be bringing my D-SLR along but i'm not sure what precautions should I take to prevent it from getting wet and sandy etc since it's a beachy place. Any advice on how I should handle the camera and take photos without damaging it? Thanks!:D

Hmmm.... I suppose just be careful.

Or maybe bring cleaning brush. Put filter for protection of lens? :)

One thing you have to watch out for is salt spray. Make sure you have some filter over the lens to protect it.

Best is if got underwater casing... sure to protect one.
Just joking... :bsmilie:

BEWARE OF THEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;p

should be fine if make sure it doesnt drop onto the sand or water..

It very true...usually we think so much of protecting the equipment till we nv thought of this...
Cover the brand name and model of the camera... Tags on camera bag also... Dun let people know what camera you are using... Make them think that you're using some cheapskate camera... Make sure you make it look real enough... but you can't fool a person who knows his stuff... But big mama lens got no way to pretend...
