u can buy the ikea lamp as shown in the link posted by Willy-Lucifer.
I am using the same exact lamp.
my comments of that lamp is the crapy joints that will droop over time and cannot be tightened. the chrome parts oxidised like mad! The plastic table clip snaps way too easily (mine snapped) and I replaced it with G clamp from hardware store, 'cos the metal base from ikea cost as much as the lamp!

u can then visit neighbourhood shop buy the cheap Nasonic 11watts Warm Daylight mini bulb (i bought at S$4.90 each from Three Star, cheaper than philips).
remember not to buy the ikea bulbs because all are warm (tungsten).
u can still use ikea bulbs, just tat must custom WB.
but remember if using more than one lamp, make sure the bulb are the same temperature, or else will get mixed lighting.

nope, they doesnt. unfortunately they onli carry bulbs of warm/incandescent light. however, i eventually got my cool daylight bulb from fairprice hypermart (mine's a 16watts powerpac bulb of 6700K colour temp.). just remember to check the screw thread size and type for ur lamp b4 purchasing. btw, i just found the website for their bulbs.. can go take a look at them.

p.s. haha, u beat me to it mybearbrick. yup, i concur with ur points too! :) one thing abt ikea bulbs.. they can get pretty hot (n i do mean burning hot!) within a few minutes. so if u're shooting PVC figurines, i strongly advise not to use them unless u wanna witness a deformation of ur precious figurines.

This is so true.
but at least it's somewhat cheap.

Just bought some colored paper yesterday, but sadly didn't have time to take photos.

Another question, since I'm using tripod, should I disable the VR on my lens? Or it doesn't make any difference?

bro u can try extension tubes as a cheap alternative
