Been using my stock of Kodak 400UC purchased from Tokyo, now running out and like to rely less on film from overseas. Question is what ISO400 rated film is available in Singapore and where can I buy them? I know I can always always visit the regular shops in the Peninsula vicinity, but I reckoned it might be smarter for to ask here before I go out there into the digital jungle to dissapoint myself. :bsmilie:

Goto Ruby. You will not be disappointed. :)

I have passed by Ruby on a couple of occassions recently, caught a glimpsed of their film fridge, did not see much there. What do they have?

Hmmm... I'm not sure about the colour stuff since I don't shoot with it. But they have quite a wide selection of b&w films. Basically... I think if you can't find it at Ruby (or they are not able to specially order and bring it in for you), you are going to have a hard time finding it anywhere else.

If you are just looking for ISO 400 film, I think most photo labs still sell the Fuji Superia x-tra 400.

Of course your consumer Fuji Superia and Kodak Max are a common in neighbourhood photo labs... just as Yatlapball said, do head down to Ruby and have a closer look at the film they have to offer, lotsa of B&W, those in the 400 range like - Ilford HP5, Delta 400, Kodak Tri-X and TMax 400.

Print and slide colour film too, just ask any of the staff there what they have..

400UC is professional negative film. Or labelled as such by Kodak anyway.

I personally haven't seen it here in SG... but then again I don't shoot colour negatives. So maybe I wasn't being observant enough while at the shops.

I dropped by at Marina Sq and got a box of Fuji 400H, should be the renamed Fuji NPH400? I don't really shoot for any artistic or commercial reasons, so normally use negatives and like vivid colurs that the Kodak 400UC provides. However, I am not a big fan of Superia, and the only reason why I buy the 400H is because of the fine grain. It seems that not much has improved with the range of available film here.
