Older lenses YES. Modern lenses for DSLR NO.

ahh... thanks for the information felixcat! sorry if I posted in the wrong thread but just a quick qns bout lens... a wide angle lens for the K-r is left with

1) Tamron SP AF10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 Di II

2) Pentax smc PENTAX DA 12-24mm F4 ED AL [IF]

3) Sigma 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM

am I right? Or is there any other brands that I missed out... sorry if I posted in the wrong thread and TIA!

don't forget the venerable Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM. I don't see the point of paying the premium for the f3.5 unless u like to shoot street with 10mm

Hahaha!!! I think thats a VERY good lens too~ Been eyeing the whole line of Samyang... Haha!!

Waiting for their 24 f/1.4... If good then I think I will grab both the 35 and 24 f/1.4s...

sigma and tamron, pentax are primes lens. Zoom lens hard unless you got good budget BNS got afew top ones

How wide a rage do you want? Not all the shops carry the same lenses all the time. The best would be for you to come and join an outing and you will surely see the different range of lenses, from legacy to mordern.

I am trying to see if I can take leave on that day to join you all pros for the outing and learn from you all but it's kinda hard as my work don't allow me to take off on weekends I would be more than happy to join if you all have one night outing

Currently I am looking at smc PENTAX DA 12-24mm F4.0 ED AL (IF) but seems like most shops are not carrying in this lens.

no la, he finding zoom so guess tamron and sigma but for pentax mostly primes easier to find at slrr and op
