Hi folks,
My first post here...
Just inherited a set of around-6-mths-old Canon 5D MkII, F2.8, 24-70mm L, F1.2, 50mm L with a F3X Super Compact.
My first looks on a Domke bag when my father-in-law is using, was "alamak! why got such an ugly bag? (no offense to Domke lovers). Then the time came when he gave me his camera cos he bought a new one and he asked me to choose between the F3X and another dual metal-clasp (not sure what model is it but its Domke). I chose the F3X cos its small. Personally, I dun like big bags.
As I look at the bag, and trying to fit the stuff in, I began to appreciate its design. Simply yet effective. Esp love the 2 "loops" to hold extra lenses or flash units. And the strap is really comfortable with rubber linings to prevent slipping. It sure beats Crumpler in the strap aspect.
However, there are some complaints. The base of the bag seems too thin. So I have to be careful putting the bag down. And my F3X does not come with separators so its kinda messy.
But all in all, I like the bag alot, it kind of grew on me. Will definitely stick to Domke. Now planning to buy the US PO shoulder strap.
