What is your best S.O.C. timing ?

The new goretex boots gets a :thumbsd: from me. I still like the old ones.

the army issue us 2 pairs of boots right? i have only used 1 haha ... use the same 1 for chiong shua and parade hahaha .... sometimes i think i obsessed with polishing my boot haha

hmm maybe next time u will c a WTS Army Boots no warrenty haha, brand new never used before.

but that was at the old Pasir Labar camp from the Safti where the start run was downhill all the way with an empty SBO.


The real pain was having to train SOC in MOP 4. I would finish with a layer of black soot everytime... and panting for breath. worse than fullpack SOC.

no more sbo liao? i thot still got sbo + dummy equipment + 1 full water bottle?

now change to lbv. and the bag change to field pack. field pack is much bigger and have a easy to access side opening. lbv kind of nice, can put almost anything on it.

oh, and the admin shirt also changed liao. no more depressing grey.

Oh, and the official SOC record with proper gear and all, is set at 5:59. The record is jointly held by two persons and set during their time as officer cadets (which was hmm... 20 years or so ago. Heh.)

During BMT after 45mins i still at paralle bar cos spent 40mins at low wall:sweatsm:
2yrs later in Brigade last SOC timing is onli 10:30:sweat:

I'm damn poor at running so when come to SOC it is totally a hell for me.

I ran 10min 50sec during my BMT time. Of course another time is 3sec faster and everyone clap for me.. *weirdo* haha.. But I never pass my SOC during my BMT in 6SIR due to attempt B . Hahaha

yah. dragon company still wearing grey shirt, while we are singing "6 more days to pop and we are so happy ah!":bsmilie: damn funny.

i heard it is because they ran out of brown shirts liao. want to buy extra also cannot.

oh. my soc timing is 3min 45 sec. but it is the bmt version, so have short run off and end off distance.
