Pentax has improved it APS-C SLR over the years since they came back after shake reduction in body - however consumer lost confidence with stain sensor recently, while N & C made Pro-consumer FF, which Pentax has not play the card yet or never will.
Having FF will have an impact on consumer perception of camera manufacturer capabilities, consumer understanding bigger sensor take better pictures, Pentax skipped the ladder and embarked 645D.. but i don't they managed to revive the Pentax 67 format eras.
Now sg have the best distributor but the product line up still lacks the thrills.
You may not agreed with me - the most recent and best aps-c cannot beat a FF.
Let's see what cards are on Pentax for next 2 years.

but seriously, I do. When I wanted to buy a DSLR, it was between Pentax and Fujifilm. And since they have not updated their S5 Pro, I went on with Pentax.

Same goes to me.. some of my colleagues even told me... u should buy Canikons and they have better camera and better lenses.... blah blah blah......
But once i show them my K-5 and DA 35 Limited... they totally get stunt... some even told me... "Wah, ur limited prime is awesome and well built... especially considering its size and the superior built in hood"...!!!!
Some more they din expect my K-5 can perform well even in high ISO... i believe so far in terms ISO performance, K-5 can hands down the rest... Not just mentioning this, some of canikon frenz saying that, the K-5 Shutter is extremely quiet, even the canon and nikon cant match with it
Anyway i am not that kind of person showing off... but at least it is proven that Pentax is not that a "Louzy Brand" as what the rest used to think of....

btw..sometimes it can be cool to use a colored pentax..i was taking pic in cambodia with my red k-x then this ABC pretty ger walk past and commented 'pentax! cool'...too bad..i too shy to continue the conversation

I've noticed this statement do often throw them off a little from their smug and often condescending attitude. :bsmilie:
Once they are on the back foot and got them intrigued, the next statement you got to tell them is "Do you want to know more?", like it is some mysterious secret.
Then when their curiosity has been aroused, the next statement is "Let me show you" and as you proceed to do quick and dirty demo of your camera, never forget to say loud, loud how much you paid to get all this Pentax goodness and watch the eye bulging, confused look magic on the Canikon subject. :bigeyes:

Yah, got one random guy come to me ask what camera I use, I said Pentax. He said Why not Canon or Nikon since both is for PROFESSIONAL use. Pentax is only use for Stock Photo. I dumbdown myself by saying I only 1 year in photography. He taught me that taking sunset no need to use tripod. Can use Flash, overpower the almighty sun.

Ask them a techincal question instead. So every camera M mode is not the same? means canikon 1/2000 shutter is better then 1/2000 pentax?
my fav reply is : Actually Pentax is bad please dont buy. I dont want my FA50f1.4 to double its price again due to many ppl ship jump.

When commented "Sell off your Pentax & get the XXX (APS-C) lah"
I answered: "Downgrade and pay more? I'm already using the best APS-C cam with natural & accurate colors, high DR & best high iso performance"
I proved them with my pics.
2 of my office colleagues bought the K-x/K-r after seeing my pics.
One even wanted to change from Nikon to K5. :lovegrin:
Another regretted getting the 7D, always complain noisy at iso>1600 & not pleased with the colors.
