er, what's not sharp about that image you posted?

so small of course sharp lah, anyway, thanks

Bro, you are welcome. But anyway, tht's the size you posted which you said was not sharp and hence started this thread...now you say it's sharp?

btw, if you are looking at comparing this shot with those commercials you see for Rolex and Tag Heuer...then,you must study on the lighting set up they used...there are reasons why professional shots are done in studios rather than at home...

I don't know why it turned out so dark, In in The background is a monitor with a blank white screen and my iPhone is also a white screen.

Just stop posting anything lah,

This guy will not learn one. Tell him so many times there is no sharpest lens, he still go on and on about sharpest lens.

He got so much $$$, just let him go pay big $$$ to real lab people to get him his sharpest lens lah :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Okok, I learn...there is no sharpest lens, so...why L lens and no L price different so much? The IS 100mm macro is a lot cheaper than the IS macro L.

cos you have totally no skills and knowledge in photography? :dunno:

you think buying $$$ and what simi sai sharpest lens will improve your photography? Dream on :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Then it's a lighting prob...not a lens sharpness prob...I think it's better you take another shot
of the watch in broad day light...it will definitely have more contrast compared to the current underexposed shot....

I have an offer as mentioned...still pending TS's pm for my exorbitant price...;p

I read the guide but don't know why it turned out this way, the guide taught me to set up an LCD monitor as backlight and I did the same. But result turned out so bad. Of course not much skill lah, just bout my cam a few days ago, if not why post in newbie section?

Regret to inform this is a skill and knowledge problem.

You do not understand how to use your camera.

If you wish to compose your picture with the background clear, then you should use a smaller aperture like f11 or f16.

In addition, you need to move back from the watch, or place the watch nearer to the monitor. The distance of subject from cam must be greater than distance of subject fro
background.

This is what composing a picture is about.

You have just wasted everyones' time with your blatant complains about the lens when it is actually the photographer's fault.

I shoot human photos also not nice leh, they appear dull and brownish and dead, I see other cs member got very nice skin tones

photographer problem.

you need to find a sharper photographer.

What's grey, regenerates, is vulnerable to fire, carries a club and lives under a bridge?

Stop feeding it folks.

There are many helpful posts from good natured CSers which is heartening to see, but the OP's responses clearly indicates he is here to stir up the proverbials, rather than trying to learn.

It should also be pointed out that the OP has previous.

tamron 17-50 f/2.8 also very sharp, comparable with 17-55 f/2.8 from canon just sharpness wise

there is thing called build, and also, any additional perks you get with a lens (for want of better word), you pay exponential prices.

This is not the only pics, I have others which are not sharp at all too...anyway, I am asking bout the sharpness. The subject is well-lit, why care bout the background?

If sharpest lens is leica lens, I will go buy it. You cannot afford dosent mean I cannot afford. Anyway, which shop carries leicas?

Sharpst is the Sony Carl Zeiss 135mm f/1.8. So you'll need to switch system. Oh, and it's best when used on full frame, so buy at least an A850 too. :P
