used to have a 70-200 for event shooting.. sold, got a 135 (more for portrait)..
shooting WA more these days as i am learning to shoot sceneries and landscapes..

Thanks for your clarifications. Good luck in your landscapes photography!
:)

I tend to do travel and landscape. So my split is 70,10,20

Wow...what is the planning here...Sell WA, and get one more tele........:)

Shooting more with lens beyond the focal lengths mention in the poll.

Resting my Efs10-22 (lazy to bring 2 body), shoot less with my mid range and focus on my super tele.

My back cant afford to lug along more than 1 body and 1 lens for shoot.

1. 25%
2. 5%
3. 70%

I only have one 17-40 and 70-200 which explains the missin middle portion :D Its 5% because I brrowed/rented some mid range lenses.

80:15:5 for me

10-22 and 17-40 (80%)
50mm (15%)
85mm (5%)

1.6x FOV crop.

70:15:15

i use 16-35 most of the time for landscapes and protait of my gf( funny to stand too far to take my gf)

sports and event. :) 300 is too short for nature.
There are some brothers here who are using 300mm f2.8 w/ TCs for bird and wildlife photography. Not just Canon only, Sigma and Nikon mount included.

Nature photography doesn't automatically mean you need super long focal lenses to do the job.

0%, 95%, 5%. Of the 95%, 75% is with 85, 10% each with a 35 and a 50.

Thanks for your participation. It is interesting to see how photographer utilitise their lens. The percentage of lenses used and the portfolio they have...a very interesting exercises.

RotiCanai, Russ & Gilbert - Must be Landscape & Travel Lover, fully utilize WA. Will you consider tele lense, they can bring you a different angle viewing a landscape?

ice -cream: Haagen dazs - hope u enjoy your shoot at overseas.

Belle & Sebastain - Guru of Wedding - Look like you cover your portrait using 70-200mm ..

Deswitches - Nice birds portfolio, it is photography section which I may be unlikely entering too. Or maybe too earlier to discover powerful of >300mm focus length

Raptors - Pet Lover...70% covers tele, nature pet portrait look.

Deadpoet - Prime Lenses Guru! Remember he gives me advise on 85mm while I am doing portrait work......

More to come?:)

Depends on what you shoot. Really.

It used to be a 17-40 and a 24-70 but now seems to be just 28 and 50 primes.

QUOTE]

i currently do not have a tele that i really find good yet. funding for a 70-200 or may go straight for a 300 2.8 IS. still deciding. i tried taking landscape with a super thin DOF to try out tele for landscape. it was interesting but not wat i am into at this point of time.
