What happened to the big bookstore near old national library?

MPH near the old library used to be one of my stops when i visit the library. So sad to see it go :cry:

It's part of my teens sweet memories....

Methodist Publishing House was the original name, as the company we know of now was set up.

In 1927 it became Malaya Publishing House
In 1963 it became Malaysia Publishing House

Coincidently, all 3 names had the same initials.
