okay, this is a sincere innocent question as i have been away for a while, and might have missed the daily transactions / discussions. but what happened to the RF stickies?

alright, there weren't that many to begin with... but now we have a grand total of 0!! from the other sub-forums, the usual stickies include (in no order of importance and not exhaustive):

1) user list
2) pictures for technical discussion
3) useful websites
4) FAQs
5) firmware update
6) meetings / outings

- i think 3) and 4) would be particularly useful for ppl exploring / newbies into RF.
- 2) can be crafted and defined more in terms of lens / camera test / comparisons (something that i know a lot of RF folk talk about and do... myself included).

yes, i agree that a lot of the information is actually around the internet... in this information-rich environment, if you actually put in some effort, you should be able to find the information that you're looking for.

but sometimes, we also don't know what we don't know... this is esp so when you're new into any game.

*get to the point!!*

okay, i suppose what i'm trying to get at is that i think we (RF and compact sub-forum members) have a lot more to share... before someone corrects me, actually, a lot have already been shared here in CS, but just collated together into information / resources for sharing.

not sure if others feel the same / similar way. but if there are some, maybe we can pull together our resources to make an effort to pull together and put some of the information out for the benefit of more ppl.

I. Second to Cactus Jack suggestion. :)

hookonclassic - thanks.

this cannot be a one or two man crusade... but it it also implies is that others just don't see the benefit of it. there could be other means by which other CSers find the sharing from the forum more useful.

i'll leave the thread open for another week to see if there are others who would find such stickies useful, some who might be willing to help, and a mod or two to support.

i support this suggestion

Very well said. If members can assist to compile the information or just start if off with a simple thread, we can make it a sticky - just PM a Moderator.

Darren: Could we start off by making the sharing of RF shots thread into a sticky?

This need not be a sticky. As we continually share, the thread will be bumped up.

However, I agree with what catus jack said in the first post. Can we have a more active tidying up of the good information in this sub forum?

Cheers,
