FYI, I will be using my kit lens. If my budget allow, i also want to get a lens but dunno which one, Wide lens better or 70-300 USM? ( I wanna take for wedding and landscape)

Becos I know 70-300 IS USM is about too high for me.

Experts here please advise.

Thanks n God bless

kit lens as in 18-55? .. it's good enough, actual day wedding don't really need telezoom..

If you're into landscape and wedding, you'll need a wide rather than a tele.
1. No need to say much for landscape, wide covers everything you wanna see.
2. For wedding, using a tele will only be useful if you want to take pictures of pimples. :bsmilie: [juz joking] I personally feel that a range between 20mm ~ 40mm will be sufficient for wedding. Most importantly, you'll need a wide aperture for indoor shots.

Hmm you might wanna consider the 17-85mm. Its wide enough for weddings... enough tele to take close-up candids... wide enough for general landscape. Plus it has IS for low light photography. It's also better than the kit lens in all aspects. A good all purpose zoom.

You'll also need an external flash. The choice is pretty obvious.
