What do you think of the NEW Nikon AF-S 14-24 mm and 24-70 mm F2.8G ED?

The lens design not so nice. Prefer the ones like rough texture type. This one looks fragile.

I'm just dying to see the first threads bitching about...

"ohh..... back focus..."
"ohh..... front focus..."
"ohh..... too wide, i don't know how to use it..."
"ohh..... too much distortion..."

when its really "ohh..... you can't use the lens even if your life depends on it".

This usually comes along wiht pple who have the $ to "upgrade" bcos of whatever "reason" and later throw the manual aside and post tons of "How tos" question. Nikpick here and there and later sell off thinking I rather have my 17-35.. to many of them.. upgrading is a reason , not a have to.

how do u guys think it'll compare with the current 28-70 (and possibly the 12-24)?
im sure there will be a great price diff, but qual?
