Leg ulcers are NO fun and so painful it's just no longer funny. This one's a consequence of the spider bite. I've had this one since early December and it's barely started to heal. In the meantime the pain really is beyond belief and no painkiller really brings relief.

youch! white tail? nasty beasts they are. their venom damages tissues and nerves and i believe the effects can last for months. i've read reports where victims say they've never fully recovered despite being bitten years ago.
