SB800? Actually 28-80 is enough liao to cover wedding. My prime lens are mainly for blurring background, normally a unneccessary crowd:bsmilie:

thats truth...28-80 can do all the job,the rest of the lens are good to have just in case need to us it still have on hand..

i was think of getting a sb-600,sb-800 or metz 45(2nd hand lah..)any comment?there was someone in CS selling a metz 45,but the secondary flash i think about to blow off.he's selling for $200..

I share mine first lah:
...
10. 1 X 14mm f2.8(FE) lens
11. 1 X 28mm f1.8 lens
12. 1 X 50mm f1.8 lens
13. 1 X 85mm f1.8 lens
...

Noticed u use standard lens except 17-85mm and all below 85mm. Do you find the need to change lens often or you manage to control the crowd and plan the lens to use?

BTW is the max. 85mm range sufficient? I thought it would be good to have something like a 70-200mm so to get some flexibility on distance.

Please share your thoughts. Cheers.

I find 85mm good enough for outdoor. 70-200m abit too much.

14mm are to take fisheye shot of the hotel room, bride's room during make up, and some time a shot of the bride and groom in the car when I am in the front seat.

28mm is basically for tea ceremony.

50mm is for during make-up, shooting the decoration and offerings.

85mm only comes in when there's solemisation in outdoor. Or couple request for some outdoor portraits during free time.

Notice that prime lens are used only when crowd are less or more controlled. Most of the time, on the move or during the "door negotiation" I use zoom.

Actually, I am interested in "Iamasaint" 's setup, that guy's photo is awesome!

May i ask a question here?

Do u guys use bounce light when shooting in
indoor with high ceiling? Or direct flash?

If i carry so many items will become look like going for mountain climbing:sweat:

I use diffuser dome... with the flash tilting upwards.

Around 75 degree up or higher. Direct shoot will only over illum the character. I shoot using spot or average metering. The flash i'm using is SB-800 in i-TTL mode.
