What do u think of I-models International Pte Ltd

As long as need to pay first type, just walk out loor.

Haha, me and my friend got scouted once. During the interview the person gave fairly reasonable reasons for having to pay first (taking the pictures that will be shown to the client to see if they want to use you, for example). You can don't pay up front, but then you'll have to do whatever job they assign to you, no choosing.

It's weird that the decision whether or not jobs can be chosen is dependent on whether you pay upfront for things like portfolio etc. Its obviously a blackmail tactic of sorts.

Well, if they build up a portfolio and no clients want you, then they would have lost money. I guess it's only fair to them :) Besides, the amount isn't that much (in the hundreds only, I think), and companies like Starhub use their models in their ads so it has to be legitimate.

Well, the portfolio cost should be the agency's investment. The scouts need to find the potential and thus investing in it.

I am sure I-Model is a legit outfit. However, a reputable agency, the model portfolio is the agency's cost and investment. Afterall, 30-40% of the model's fee goes to the agency.

Unfortunately, many smaller agencies, they also fleeced the models for portfolio fees. The sad thing is, they also go fleeced photographers for free test shoots.

Be very weary of any agencies asking the model to pay fees for pictures, portfolio, training etc etc. These are their cost.

The real sad thing is, these fees can become a major income source, and they won't hesitate to engage girls who really have no business getting into modelling.

Yeah, that is when the black horse starts springing up.

So if no clients want you, then what jobs are there NOT to choose from? :dunno:

Sorry I wasn't thinking when I wrote that, I meant if they made a portfolio and you didn't bother going for any of the shoots ;)
