What Diff between AFn & AF-D

Anyone can tell me what is diff. between AFn & AF-D

there is no officially AFn, n is just stand for NEW, which means the lens is the new version, no other meaning. AFD means the lens have distance info manages to send to camera.

Funny that, it's on all of the packing boxes that hold AFn-D lenses. Guess that isn't official enough though :devil:

I use wrong term "officially" then. Should say there is no special meaning of the n besides "new", unlike the D means distance, S means silent wave...
