i will save $40000 and spend $20000 on an old car.

How about put $20K deposit for new car and $40K deposit to one or more Bank to earn the interest.

Buying old car could has alot break down problems and don't know the previous owner got take good care of the car in the past.

no the idea is not to exceed 20k for a car.
i prefer to believe in old cars. they got this retro charm hehe

Honda Jazz 1.5L VTEC?

I dun think SG will bring in Vtec version.

The new model still will be 1.4cc.

1.4 i-DSI or something?

i was thinking for a VTEC that's quite cheap, under 52k

If I have that money, I'll hire a chauffer and rent a limo when I need to travel. ;)

Hyundai car is cheaper but fuel consumption is not good :thumbsd:

No one suggest the Toyota Altis? I was told FC is good and maintenance is minimal, as befitting a Toyota. But I must admit the drive will not be as interesting.

Yap, Bcos Gov tax on car is quite high is about 100% - 150% of the car imported. That why Car selling in SG is so expensive.

eg. Jazz cost price is about $27K, so after tax is about $54K
