What are the lenses you are mounting on your NEX?

yeah.. wider lens always alot more expensive.

especially fixed aperture zoom.. but then ok la.. expand the e mount range ma.. more lens to choose from..

i don't think that there's a need for a constant aperture wide-angle lens. most of the time it'll be on a tripod, and used for landscape (i.e. deep DOF).

true.. but most of the premium lens are all fixed aperture though.. hopefully for e mount, then will consider abt the weight n price..

Think Sony knows they are lacking on the E Mount lenses lineup... There should be some E Mount variants coming up this year. More importantly is that they give us good lenses that we can fully unlock the potential of our NEX 7 sensor and we will all b sold...

11-18G lens please

Anything ultrawide would do, as long as its resolution is on par with the 24mp sensor. Tough to build a piece of glass like that to an attractive price point, though.

They'll also need to come up with a replacement for the NEX-7 first. A firmware update might improve the color shift issue; but the NEX-7's corner softness with wide lenses is a hardware issue. If they manage to produce a mirrorless body that works well with legacy wides, I'll dump my overweight a-mount gear in a heartbeat.

Just wondering if the hardware issue u mentioned on d corner softness is due to the camera or due to d wide angle lenses?

Well-documented as a camera body issue, mentioned in a couple of lens reviews on Photozone (e.g. 30mm f/3.5 e-mount, IIRC), discussed/explained on other sites as well. Most aptly illustrated by Sony's own glass: the 16mm f/2.8 and the 30mm f/3.5.

Oh... then haf to buy d next version of NEX 7 Pro edition to resolve this issue, if Sony can manage to resolve this on d next edition? LOL... Neverending, BBBVirus...

yes. just bbb . lol

Nex-7 still a good camera. if require for work, best to get a camera that is more suitable for it.

Anyway, just read in Mirrorless Rumours that Sony WILL launch the E Mount 35mm f1.8 lens next month... Sorry for the OT..

Well... it's not everyday U get yr hands on a Leica lens to test test rite? Glad I did and love those pics... For now till I can afford those Lux, Crons & Nocts, I will stick with CZ & CV lenses... Maybe get the SLR Magic E Mount 50mm f/0.95 since I have seen so much raving reviews on it comparable to the Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 in some areas (Bokeh especially)... ;)
