This argument has gone on forever... and my friend, I shoot medium format cameras, and to me, for DSLR 35mm full frame that have yet to yield corner to corner sharpness, that platform is totally crap. I will shoot a 645 format anytime. So you see, my reply simply put down 135 format (which 645 camera bodies do handle like DSLR) so this argument will never cease and no one is right or wrong. If you like 135 format full frame, this section of the forums is not where you should belong. There is Nikon, Canon, and Sony. You might want to hang out there.
As far as I am concerned, what 4/3 and m4/3 can yield in image quality is enough for smaller prints, and if I need to pixel peep, there is always the larger sensor cameras. 135 format full frame is NOT ideal because it has yet to be able to yield a corner to corner sharpness image when shot wide open (please prove me wrong).
So, I hope this answers silly questions... it is like "How come Toyota can never create a Vios that has the same acceleration as a Ferrari 535? Both also car what..." I hope this shows you how silly it is to make comparisons to a TOTALLY DIFFERENT PLATFORM.
are large format lenses expensive?
never seen one in real life before, seen in books and read its operations before, can only imagine how it feels, carrying it also break back one right?XD
Cool! I look forward to handling a large format
Well, I m not a pro, but have shot with my various bronicas, RB67 & Pentax67.
Think we shld all respect individual's opinion, as opposed to silly comments made
Even when I do get the Leica S2 (pending approval), it does not mean I have the king of all cameras (other than the freaking price tag).
Wowe, Leica S2. For me, it would be the ring to rule all rings. You can buy a car for the price of a S2 kit
The camera seems quiet even with that big mirror.
I think it is silly when someone makes silly comparisons. Four Thirds is Four Thirds, 135 format is 135 format, so is 645, 66, 67 being medium formats. How to compare? That is why my response. Simple as that. If someone wants to go on forever about 135 Full Frame versus Four Thirds Full Frame, it defeats any purpose of discussion. Just go ahead and buy a Canon/Nikon/Sony 135 Full Frame and be happy there. No need to discuss. Four Thirds is a format and it will never make a 135 Full Frame sensor. End of story. See what I am getting at? It is not about preference, it is about silliness.
sad to say, if you insist with a '1 track mind....
i wld expect more from a mod...

I think great images can be captured with humble cameras.
Since tategoi mentioned better quality, I am assuming he means better resolution, lower high ISO etc, then the FF will out resolve the 4/3 & M4/3 sensors.
