I once saw an 'ah pek' in a white Merz speeding along this road, and he merrily went right through the red-light at high speed.

From the Frankel side, a long trailer (the type that carry MRT pillars) was crossing the inter-section.

Don't have to imagine the result. If it wasn't a Merz the XO imbibed ah-pek was driving, he would have been nothing but a crushed mass of blood, flesh and bones.

What happened AFTER the collision was actually quite hilarious, but I won't get into that.

Also once saw a 'ah-long' type speeding and ramming through to beat the red-light at this junction. He smashed directly into an ah-pek pushing his bicycle at the pedestrian crossing in the direction of Frankel. Needless to say, the ah-long sped off and was too fast for me to get the license no.

I always thought it is Honda, the one which crash its front...
one of the drivers was sent to hospital, and only taxi driver is there...so no one stopped me.

And ambulance is there, the Honda/Toyota passenger was sent to hospital for check up, after taken last photos...i guess.

When i saw the pic of the car's front, it almost did look like a Honda Civic, maybe cos the headlight was smashed backwards into a slanted position...

But after going back to the pic which showed the rear... then i realised it was a Camry...

Aiyah, no issue lah... pls dun mind me.

very few policemen, and the taxi driver was busy talking to policemen. basically only surrounding passby or residents..

I did it in very fast pace, snapped and go. I thought I was going to sent to newspaper, but my internet was terminated, until now.

Er what camera setting did you use ah? Looks pretty sharp!

Looks to me like a case where both taxi and the camry were speeding to some extend since it was already past midnight, and the camry was too close to the taxi.

Perhaps the taxi uncle was a little pissed with the camry driver for tailgating, then decided to make him pay for the insurance. When reach the traffic light junction he just jammed break to stop and the camry just whamped into the back of the taxi.

No matter what happened lah, the cmary driver is going to pay for the damage for the taxi already. Just hope it's not another case of drunk driving.

I was on my way home (Siglap) and passed this accident site as well. A Camary if I'm not mistaken.

This junction is very accident prone.... I've seen quite a numbers of accidents around this junctions, and I was involved in one accident years back at this junction as well....

Took a few shots with my hp when this long vehicle took a right turn and brought the post down.

And also TPs like to park under the MRT rail to wait for speedsters. Road blocks are common just up the hill. Do drive carefully if you're passing by this junction.
