you mean i have to seek his permission to get my kakis to go shoot anything under the sun??
and to start off with, you are speaking on others behalf. did you have his permission to do that?
i have pm az to seek clearification to prevent mis-understanding.
Denniskee,
Thank you for drawing my attention to this.
Let me first point to a little something that exists in the first post of all my recent AG Outings.
Background
The series is original, outings to promote friendship and photography but minus the equipment comparisons. The one thing that sets us apart is our intimate knowledge of Singapore and the places we go to, it's heritage, it's stories. Started in 2003 and up to 190 outings, the AG series has been a prime model for others to emulate and imitate, even down to the text/captions used.
In a way, I'm honoured that many have come along to want to imitate my AG Outings. The fact that the outings are ALWAYS oversubscribed, that many even go to the point of trying to monitor when I post my outings. That shows me how good it is to people.
As to the origin of the AG Outings, they came about in 2003, after a fellow forummer and myself decided to do something in response to Adam Goi's poll, and also after some response from fellow newbies going for SEED.
You are most welcome to take a look at some of these threads, to see how far back the AG Outings series date.

Well, these are just random threads. You can probably find most if you do a search on "Anything Goes" and "AG Outings".
Given the history, and the apparent brand name of the outings, you'll understand if I choose to be rather careful about letting anyone run licensed outings in the AG name. As such, I do sincerely hope that folks out there consider it carefully, After all, it will be confusing and potentially ugly, if any and every next person comes along to copy the name of the outing and does a rotten job at it.
As for the so-called "Licensed" AG Outings that Grumpy mentioned, I take it is because the ones he has been to so far are licensed ones, by Roninwolf, Shadowmoses and Blur Shadow.
And for that "Licensing", those individuals have to demonstrate to me that they can host an outing properly. Not only so, but I will also be present at the licensed AG Outings, and we liaise very closely to ensure a running number. We also maintain a very current knowledge of the places we lead groups to and we actually have specialised genres where each of us are passionate in.
So, yes, historically, I have been doing the Anything Goes a.k.a. AG Outings series since 2003. And I daresay that the series is unique and has strengths that no other has. And on that basis, I usually ask others to name or brand their outings as something else, if anything, as a basic human courtesy.
It is not my policy to crash into others' threads. So this will be my last post in here. I hope you will refrain from calling whatever outings you have "AG Outings". Certainly, I do hope you can find something more creative. Thank you.
Cheers.
