Folks,

Noticed these lines on some of the films I scanned yesterday. Any idea what's wrong with this? I believe this is ISO800 Fuji film.

Here's another...

Don't think it happened on the Fuji pro 400 though. Maybe it's just the film or development. Will try another roll to confirm.

Hi dave, this has happened to me before but on my MF gear, used shanghai GP100 on Contax 645 and same thing. Thought back plate problem then ran another shanghai roll plus another roll of provia through and no issues, may have been the film batch.

I hope it's just that. The previous roll I shot with Fujipro 400 no such issues. Wongsan ran a roll through when he first got it too. Don't think any problem there.

different thickness for different film mah

Did you check the neg to see if the lines are visible?

I wonder if it's possible that the scanner is causing it.

This is very likely a developing fault, don't think it's a back plate or film issue.

Didn't really take a good look at the neg but those shots affected seems underexposed on the negs.

Anyway, running a B&W on the M6 right now. Will see how it goes if I get it developed tom.

Nope bro.. Using either 50 Lux ASPH or the Canon 50 f1.2. Chances are these shots were badly developed???

What scanning software you used? The colours are very likely due to the grey point not set correctly. As for the lines, it maybe due to electrical noise and improper shielding. Is the scanner connected at the same electrical point with high current drawing devices such as vacuum cleaner, microwave, hair dryer etc?

Never experience this before but I strongly believe it is the scanner problem. To me like the scanner has uneven scanning movement. Your lines run left to right so does this corresponse to the scanning direction?

Yes, looks to me like that's what it might be. Scratches don't usually look so uniform.

Using the software for Espon V700. No high current drawing devices nearby but I could try to rescan again to see. Thanks. Never thought of doing that.

I've rescanned. The color still sucks but the lines seem less obvious.

Dave, what are your scanner settings? Do you have a loupe? Maybe look at the negs, could be rollers in the processing machine....

48-bit color, 3200dpi, unsharp mask and digital ice. Will take a look at the loupe later.
