Wedding Video : Time for DVD

Hi!

Posting on behalf of my couple friend.

Their wedding is around the corner and would like to open up this event to one or two aspiring videographers. In return, the couple would expect a DVD of the filming.


Event: Actual Day Wedding Videography

Date: 7th July 2007

Time: 4.30am (makeup time) to 3pm (solenmisation, followed by Luncheon)

Hotel: to be adviced.


If you are interested, please PM or email me for more info. Please also provide a link to your site so that the couple can review your works should more than one videographer is interested.

Hey bro,

It is not a joke. The timing is for reference only in case interested parties want to capture the entire sequence. Since this arrangement is meant like a TFCD, arrangments can be made eg. for the videographer to shoot only the luncheon if he/she so wants to.

Just know from my friend's wedding had hire a videographer for $800.

hi, still, a video portfolio like this is incomplete.

anyway, that's day is a super hot date for wedding, anyone can shoot well, video well are all engaged, so hope the couple can understand what are they expecting.

one more thing I guess is the make up artist didn't charge them for early surcharge, so she can take in one more job, she may have many heads to do on that day.

i asked TS in PM how much was the pay...it's nil and he said thanks for the interest...all in all nice fella...

However i replied, "Not interested at all...i'm more interested in seeing how your couple friends are cheap...and of course they were. you figure it our brah."
okay, me not so nice at this point.

Here is the catcher for every CSER here, TS replied to me

"My frens are not cheap. They can make do without videographers even if no one signs up for it. They do not plan to have one anyway."

so now the question really is
1) if they not cheap, then why don't they pay
2) if they can make do without a videographer, then why you asking for them?
3) if they do not plan to have one anyway (videographer), then again, why you ask?

but i do wonder, what this couple has no friends or family willing to do it? i mean everyone has a freind with a vid camera and everyone has a friend with a computer correct? so why won't anyone that knows this couple just simply do it out LOVE for them? it's an honest and fair question considering they do not care about quality...correct?

TS/CS i do apologize for sharing a PM...i feel the overall good and benefit of the community here outweighs anything else. when i get extra media passes to events i try to invite people when i can to "hone" their skills. i don't ask for anything in return...the pics are yours, the experience is yours.

anyways, just as you asked TS, i will stay out of this thread from here on. not going to get into a war with you, and i wish you all the best...i do find you to be a really nice fella.

btw, weddings can make do without photographer, videographer, but can't make do without make up artist.
moreover, make up artist can make up for 3 or 4 brides each day, but photographers or videographers can only serve one couple each day, this is the sad truth.

anyway u are not newbie, u dont need to build your portfolio and practice your skill.. so u are not qualify .. give the "newbie" a chance.. maybe my son can do the job :think:

I am trying to refrain from commenting but ...

Look ... right now I realised this is a hot date. So if it is indeed such a hot date and you guys are already pros/semi-pros ... then I guess you folks will be busy on an assignment anyway and then why would you be interested in this thread.

Now, I do not want to keep repeating, but here goes ...

This thread is meant for the newbies, for the budding videographer, those who want to have an event to practise/perfect their skills without any pressures to provide a perfect output. My frens are kind enough to open their event to this targeted newbie group, not you guys ... the pros. Timing ... as I have clarified, is flexible.

So guys ... since you wish to consider yourself pros ... let's all behave as such ... Chill OK?


That said ... no more banter in this thread please. Any comments, interests, please PM me.
