Hi all,

i am looking for a secondary wedding photographer who will supplement my main photographer.

do not need to be very experienced. basically looking for someone who is seeking to build his wedding portfolio and take pictures that my main photographer didnt. ie: ppl's reactions etc.

We have a very small budget therefore, we welcome students or anyone who is a newbie.

Date: 6th Feb
Timing: whole day event (morning + dinner)

Please email to boii80@hotmail.sg with your quote and portfolio as well as what is to be included and terms and conditions.

We will review all portfolios and get back to you.

TY!.

No offends, we have heard of so many horror stories of Uncle Bob during weddings.

you should let your main photographer do his work without any hindrance.

finding a total newbie to shoot as secondary shooter will probably get into the way of your main photographer, and causing him missing important shoots, or shooting each other into your wedding photos.
and there is no way of re-enactment or any photoshop able to salvage.

if you really need a secondary photographer, ask your main photographer to find one and they should work together before and able to coordinate their workflow and shooting styles.

lastly, this is your own wedding, you decide what you want.

who is uncle bob? hahaha...

anyway... we are just seeking someone to take friends and family.. not really taking us.

but thanks for the advise! will keep that in mind.

Why not ask your friends to take instead?? Even an iPhone or S3 can do a good job. Easier than coming here looking for FREE photographer (who have invested few thousands on gears) under the disguise of "building portfolio".

Let me just offer u some advice. If u think you need more coverage of the participants, talk to your main shooter. Discuss with him/her and if it necessary then ask him/her to arrange for some one as 2nd shooter. The second shooter has to be able to do the work without :
1 getting in the way of the main - too many 2nds compete with the main for shots they do not know how to work as seconds. sometimes too many shots get ruined by either having the second picture in too many of the main simply beasuse the 2nd would not get out of the way and the main in the 2ns shoots because of where the 2nd was standing. But hey its your wedding.
2. if you though shoot the participants was ease well it just looks easy. getting nice meaningful shots of guests, family friends takes experience and skill, it needs some preplanning.

If the main shooter arranges chances are if they know what they are doing the 2nd will be able to work with them without clashing. Plus he has no surprises on that day - I do not like these kinds of surprises and am sure most other main shooters do not too.

I shoot mainly as main and will shoot as 2nd only for people I know. Why ? I been there with main shooter who are clueless as to what to do next and worse still want to stand behind and next to me the whole wedding. 2nd shooter needs to have some shots of couple alone and with crowd and more of crowd - had inexperience main shooters following to shot what I shoot which is ridiculous since couple had a 2nd in for another viewpoint whats the point of 2 pictures from about sample angle.
While I shoot for the money, I am also extremely focused on what is delivered not point getting into a shitty shoot situation and have to do either save the day by having to handle co ordination and increase coverage to fill in blanks left by main, or have problems doing my end because the main shoot wants to shoot with a 24mm the whole day and keeps being in my frame.
