This may be unwelcomed news but just to gently point out that some shop in the industry hire top level shooter to do their sample albulms. Who you get to shoot yours if a luck of draw thing. Problem is that good shooters are mobile while production line shooters are the staple in the industry.

Congrads on the weddings of you guys. Remember be cool that day -things never go perfectly to plan. Plan time line with lots of allowances.

i know of some shops that display the works of top-level photographers but when you engage their service, they hire cheap freelance photographers to do the job.

mmm....i know a few shops who do these......

I thought every shop do it that way? Just like in a eating place, you'll never be able to eat what you see on the display.

hmmm....oh no! every shop does it this way. this means that wedding couples are better off engaging their own photographers, rather than depending on bridal shops.

Not likely tho, there are too many wannabes photographers out there. To most couples, getting recommendation from bridal studios is way much safer.

When we get our wedding, we meet up with the photographer who shoot the style we like before commiting. Don't just talk to the sales/business manager only.

I also have to make sure my wife is comfortable working with the photographer. Is he social skills ok? etc...

Unless he lied about the portfolio he showed us...

Well the photo turns out just like the way we want... although I'm not as photogenic as my wife...:(
