Hi Icychilled,

I love the choice of music and the way the clip was edited to be in-sync with the drum beat :gbounce:

You may want to work on the audio during the exchange of vows. A wireless clip-on mic that is clipped onto the groom's tie or jacket flap can improve the audio several times over.

Keep it up

Cheerio !!

Thanks Azman! Yeah the audio was indeed a problem, did not get a proper mic to record the sound for this one due to budget constraints.

Any recommendations for a good one?

how many camcorders did u deploy???

the transistation during the vows were rather adrupt.

Else, excellent piece of work. espexially you were able to catch the emotion of the groom and bride. and the shine in their eyes and all. The compilation bring joyous tears in my eyes.

Keep it up.

Hi Jason

May I know how much do you charge for actual day video. Please email me at lltooh@gmail.com Thanks.

No problemo, Icychilled. There is quite a number in the market, depending on your budget.

I used Audio-Technica Pro 88, a simple 2-channel FM Transceiver for my projects. I bought the set at Hung Brothers @ 3rd Floor, Sim Lim Square.

I also use a shotgun mic, the ATR 55 (below) to capture the audio after the ceremonies.

My clip-on is an old model. There could be newer ones on offer. You may want to go there and have a look-see.

Oh...Hung Brothers...got a rode mic from there before...

Thanks a lot! Maybe will drop by some time to take a look.

2 cameras..to be honest was my first attempt deploying another videographer to help me out. I was trying to cut it such that when the priest was talking, it would cut to the person who wasn't talking.

But limited due to some parts of the footage of both cameras...so ended up with some abrupt cuts during the vows...;p

this is my first time watching a wedding vid from clubsnap. i'm not trained in it but from a layman pov i find some scenes jumping too fast or is it just me ?

i really enjoyed watching the video! lovely and photogenic couple tooo!

I think you may be right in there... I think some shots were cut too fast in order to syncro with the music...

I guess this video work suffers from what I call poor pacing and poor planning.

Though maybe it's not entirely the fault of the videographers due to the space constraints and the fact that this is a 'live' event but I guess during the editing part, much improvement can be made such that the pace and build up to certain big moments will give the audience time to appreciate them when they eventually come.

Right now, it looks like you were trying to do too much too fast, such that the result is that the viewer does not have time to digest the scenes because they are too fleeting.

With regards to planning, it is apparent that two videographers were present. That could have produced amazing results if you planned such that one videographer concentrates on taking a certain style of shots, while the other does another style. Otherwise, the only difference will be the location from where the shots were taken.

There were several instances that it was obvious that the camera operator made decisions at the last minute and decided to pan or tilt when he did not plan to do so. The result is that the scenes lack smoothness.

Well, you don't have to cut every scene to sync to every single beat of the background music. It can definitely be stretched a few beats. Otherwise, it is indeed tiring for the viewer.

This is my honest opinion and my hope and wish is to see quality and amazing video works that will be comparable to and rival overseas productions. Though I know the bottomline for most local outfits is the measly budgets that they have to work with.

Personally though, I believe that we should strive to elevate the quality such that people will learn to appreciate the value and thus pay more for excellent work.

:)

Thanks for the honest comment...

Yes I do agree that much better planning could have been put into the production...this is my 2nd wedding only... do hope I can learn more along the way...

I guess we have to keep improving and convince people of the quality of our work...
