Use an Expodisc. Though honestly, I do it maybe 5% of the time. Auto-WB's fine for me

nop, d50 doesn't have this +/-3 function for all i have used in my past 2yrs+

sorry for wrong info provided by me.
no wonder hardly come across any over or underexposure problems with the d50.

If u are not sure use WB Bracketing then delete those u dont like cheers

?? WB bracketing?? is there a function for this?

Yes, there is a WB bracketing for D300. I'm not sure for D50.
You may want to check D50 manual on bracketing.

hmm, how abt fine tuning the white balance with respect to the amberblue and greenmagneta colour scales on the camera itself?

:dunno: what has whitebalance got to do with over/underexpose? :dunno:

nope, not on the d50...

anyway, the most efficient way would probably be shoot in RAW and adjust the temp before doing a batch process (if u are lazy do fine tune)

Even d70s has wb bracketing. No sure bout other entry levels

D50 has a WB Bracket function at Custom Function 12, BKT Set.

D40, D40x and D60 do not have bracketing.

haha.. i think i will juz shoot using tungsten and edit the WB again in PS if needed.. wat's a expodisc btw?

just my 2 cents...
rookie86 i think u still not very familiar with ur D60.
i'll suggest u read ur user manual 1st and try to play around with the settings that are explain in the manual, i think that will help u have a better understanding of your camera features and make full use of ur D60 =)

cheers, happy shooting ;)

OMG, i nv see that before :bsmilie:, probably becos its either auto, preset or manual for me 100% of the time + i just realise they don allow WB bracket when shoot in RAW which Im doing 90% of the time. :embrass: I didn't even go to that option before, always used manual when i need bracketing exposure.

go custom. point at the streetlamp shoot and adjust the wb down -2.

never use auto. either cloudy or custom (shoot at incandescent lights to get the WB custom)
