wat's the right way to load a roll of flim?

had a roll that is totally unexposed sent in for develop....
waste of $$$

What camera are you using?
There is no 'right' way expect to follow the camera's user guide.

If it's a compact film camera/auto SLR, then it should have sensing mechanisms to tell you whether the film is loaded properly.

If it's a manual SLR, then the film should have travelled one round around the take up spool before you consider it loaded.

If it's an SLR, check whether the shutter open or not.
I've got a 2nd hand SLR with shutter problem (some grease on it)
So I test a roll with various shutter speed - none came out.
and discover that the shutter did not open. Some sticky stuff. No choice had to send in to service.

Hi overcrash,
For your X700 (nice cam :thumbsup: ) the film rewind knob will spin every time you advance the film (if it is correctly loaded) - I also believe the X700 has another indicator to signal correct film loading - check your manual
