Watermark on neg ~

I'd recommend not using wet wipes. The chemicals on the wipes may cause long term damage to the negatives. Other than the recommended chemicals, it's better that the negatives are not exposed to anything except water.

Hrmm.. maybe before buying photo-flo, you can try to hang your negatives to dry with a weight right at the bottom.

I think Sriram's advice is right! So don't cut your negatives up when they're wet because you'll most probably end up touching them with wet fingers and stuff and that adds more water marks on the negative and that's not really good.

So when you're done with the whole developing process, just use your finger and run the whole thing through in one swift motion(like kung-fu style or something..) and then hang then with maybe a clip right at the bottom of the whole strip? I normally use my film canister then just slot the last part of the negative into the film canister and leave it to dry. This is so the negatives won't curl upwards and it also helps the water to travel downwards and not dry up in some curl further up there. I think it should be fine after that. Then you just wait for it to dry and when everything's done, cut it up! :D i never had a problem with water marks too! just some scratches here and there because i was careless.

If you really do need photo flo, i heard an alternative way is using mama lemon! :D

hello, seems like most pple here have recommended a lot of good mths, wetting agent works fine without squeegy far as I can testify myself.
water marks won't really hurt that much, it usualyl don't show up on prints. unless it's those kind of mother-of-all stain.
on the contra, dust are more pesky. look @ it, the more ya wash ya negs and have to leave it to dry. the more vulnerable ya're to get dust sticking on ya negs.

good luck.
