Hi, I've just bought a Digi-Cabi DB036 from Carrefour, Suntec City, last week. I am required to send the warranty card back, but there is no dealer's stamp on the card; does it matter?

make sure you keep your reciept.
I think thats all you need.

I'm sorry, hijack this thread a bit, because I have the same question. Do I mail back the receipt with the card or don't have to mail back at all?

I mailed back the warranty card together with a copy of the receipt. :)

I don't need to do anything. Just when I need to send my piece of equipment into the service centre (Nikon), I just need to produce the receipt and warranty card. The staff would then take the manufacturer's copy and update their database with the date of purchase.

if u send in an item that's pretty new and need a warranty claim i dun even bother looking for the receipt. they can tell the production date from the serial number and anything within a year from that date would definitely fall withing the warranty period.

that's what happened to me anyway, nikon honoured the warranty checking the production date when i didn't bring any receipt or anything :)

I'm sorry to hijack this thread also, I have just bought a Panasonic DC and the warranty card don't seems to have a copy to be sent back for registration. I have checked their website and does not have online registration too. Do i need to do anything to register for Panasonic?? Can any Panasonic users advise? Thanks.

I think in this case, the receipt is the most important proof of purchase you have.

but if you want the stamp, should feel free to go to the shop and ask for stamp :) bring receipt also. I've done that before, they didn't even ask for receipt :)

ALWAYS, whatever one buy, keep the receipt and warranty card.
