Hi I'm looking for those prosumer digital camera with optical zoom like 12x or more. Best comes with Image stablizer built in and size don't be too big. Reason need to loan because I'm going to a concert in indoor stadium soon and would like to take pic. Certainly a DSLR would be too obvious as photography isn't allowed. So looking for a smaller option for 1 day. Anyone??

Actually a small DSLR like D40 might be smaller than a prosumer...

But the ISO control for low light shoot is definitely better... esp if u use a fast lens too ;)

I say, drop the idea and enjoy the show...

 Maybe I should just drop the idea of taking photo?

Most prosumers won't have sufficient noise control for you to shoot during the performance.

Carrying a D40, or another DSLR may be a problem. If somebody around you gets irritated by the shutter slap, or if you're near any security..

Best solution is to enjoy the show, don't shoot.

Go for the S6500Fd..its prob the one that can suit your needs after DSLR..but I not sure who rent out though..

Was offered choice of
Fujifilm S6500fd - 10.7x optical zoom or
Olympus SP 550UZ - 18x optical zoom.

But still thinking if I should rent it or just go enjoy the show. Don't think will rent a D40 as I think its pretty much the same like using my D70s. :(
