Ok, this is the first time I will be going to buy my lens. How's the procedure like? I buy the lens 1st, go home do some test shots and review it. If I find the copy is a lemon, I can go back to change it?

Or do I shoot with the lens in the shop and review it thru their computer?

If you can afford it, go for the EFS 17-55 F2.8 IS.
