don't worry, i also shoot a lot of buildings without knowing their names.

anyhow, i used google maps to source out the information. i was there recently, so i remember that that building was across the river from the louvre. :) since it has to be a major building, and the only one across the river from louvre is institut de france, checking google images confirms this.

anyways, the later hdrs are more natural, i prefer them. :) cheers!

Thank you for your comment! Means alot though, :).

It is always like this when comes to travel, you just cant stop snapping and in the end, cant recall what and where is that place is already.

yeah your recent hdrs are much more natural :)

glorious dead works if you wanna set the mood and gesture for that particular pic.

there always something for something at the right time. LOL!

Thanks crucio! Appreciate that very much :)

MERLION

Hi SDA,

Welcome to the club! :)

May I request you to post a slightly larger image for C+C? Cheers!

Btw, hope can improve on the composition a little. :)

Image taken @ New Seletar Highway.

15 exposure with every stop set manually starting from -2 to +2 were taken.

X15 Raw images were combined using Photomatix and Light Smoothin were set to Very High and process tone mapped x4 times to get this effect with same tonemapping settings.

Image further processed mainly on Shadows/Highlights, Brightness and Contrast, Curve and USM in CS2.

Hi Andy.

Thank you for the comment. Yes indeed there is alot of work need to be done on the processing side.

At times, merging 15 raw image together does 'not bring' out the image portray. Making it surreal looks better but really, it still depends on the condition. Like anything purchase which comes with warranty and it always stated, 'condition applies'. :p

Once again, thank you.

BR,

Again, am not a Pro and still learning...:)

Obviously it is a matter of taste but many shots are overblown in colors, showing halos and look very unnatural. Software allows you to do crazy things and in the end it is all up to your own liking but I sincerely doubt if the technique was meant to come up with results like this.

HDR is all about range available and certainly not every subject is suitable for it. Well, check out some HDR groups on Flickr and you will notice what i am trying to say.

Well, apparently you haven't understand much of it as it was not particularly meant as a question .. HDR is not about crazy colors, it is about light ..

Below is one link for you to show how dynamic range works, the rest you can google yourself.

YES I don't understand anything.... what we are doing here is exchanging some opinions, constructive comments, not just slamming some photos of others in which it's not really helping. We don't really care how good the photos on flickr is, as much as we are happy in what we are doing and learning with each other. Sorry if this kind of work don't please you.

Hey Hey guys, relax relax...no worries about the comment. I do accept what PIPO were tyring to say cause I did receive couple of same comment from fellow CSer. Really, no worries.

At times during PP, just got too carried away and that is why, those crazy colors is flying around. :bsmilie:

Do not worry PIPO, I am well aware of what HDR means and how does it looks like. Got couple of links that really shows good HDR images and as said earlier, just got too carried away and I better stop doing that.

Thanks Billy! ;)
