If I buy an item from Ebay seller who only accepts PayPal and ships only to USA, can I have the merchandise shipped to VpostUSA address?

If VpostUSA is allowed, how does the payment work?

Accordingly to Vpost instruction, the statement has to be emailed to Vpost and they will make the payment on my behalf to the Ebay seller, then I will pay only to Vpost.

My question is: Since the Ebay seller accepts only Paypal, can VpostUSA also pays through PayPal?

Or do I make payment to seller thru PayPal that includes mechandise price + local shipping, and only pays VpostUSA the shipping from USA to Singapore.

from my experience with Vpost,u pay shipping(toVpost address) and the cost of the item to the seller thru paypal.

then u notify Vpost of the expected item and attached the Ebay invoice to it.

Vpost will then notify u how much to pay via e-mail and u can pay by credit card or go down any post office to make payment.

If gst is involved,they will also bill u together with the shipping.

Once the item arrives in SG, how do they deliver ? usual Singpost postman ? or go down to collect ?

you have to pay the seller directly for the item and local shipping charges. vpost will email their own bill to you, and the bill has to be settled before the item is delivered to you.

the vpost guy will deliver to the address you stated. you have to acknowledge receipt.

Shipments via vPOSTUSA or vPOSTJapan...

Pls note that you may accumulate deliveries into one shipment.
Every Thursday, vPOST will consolidate all US/Japan local deliveries.
Every Friday, vPOST will bill you delivery charge (from US/Japan to S'pore).

If you choose to accumulate more items, you may ignore the bill, ie. dont pay by Monday 9pm. However, vPOST will charge storage at S$1 per item per week when items stay in the US/Japan warehouse beyond 14 days. The bill will indicate how many days each item have stayed in warehouse.

Delivery cost consist of one base charge + variable per kg charge. vPOST will bill you less if item is less than one kg or volumetric wt (whichever is higher).

Other charges not included are customs, GST, license fees, etc.

If you do not want to pay GST, pls keep total value of shipment below S$400.
However, I notice that vPOST do help us to save on GST. They actually categorise received items into two or more shipper names.
Eg. if you buy from ebay & pay thru Paypal, vPOST may categorise some items as shipped by ebay or shipped by Paypal. GST is calculated based on per shipper name, and not lumped together as one shipment.

vPOST will initiate delivery on Tuesdays and deliver to your house (door-step) by Thursday or Friday evenings. Need to acknowledge postage.

Use vPOST service if originator:
- do not ship overseas or ships only to USA (if originator is in Canada)
- ship overseas but not to S'pore (or Asia)
- ship to S'pore but at a very high cost (eg. US$50 or UK20pounds)

If you wish to save more, buy from those who use their postal service for local deliveries. US Postal Service may charge only US$5~15 depending on size of items and distance between source & destination.

When you buy thru ebay or any other US stores and wish that they deliver to vPOSTUSA address (which is in California), note that you may have to pay in-state sales tax if the originator is within California.

If you happen to buy many items from different sellers all at one go, you may assist by matching what vPOST have received against the right invoice.

Yes

You pay VPOST for delivery charges to SG, not paying VPOST for the item you are purchasing

As above, you use Paypal to pay the Ebay item. Vpost is for delivery charges only. I do not think they accept Paypal.

Wat I usu do

1) ask for paypal invoice from seller for cost of shipping to vpost's usa address
2) forward invoice to vpost
3) After receving notification of package arrival at vpost's usa address and subsequently a notification to pay for the shipment to SG, pay vpost using enets/visa
4) Next week Thu/Fri receive package from postman

Thats all i think.
