I like its contrast ! Just that I thought it would have been even nicer if it had more detail sharpness. I'm now thinking of buying an R2 also ..

I have developed the film that I was taken with the lens and I have yet to scan them. From the negatives it looks pretty good with the loupe. The price is at the link in the first post and many thanks for visiting my gallery. I must say the Ultron is my most used lens. Not the sharpest but has very nice contrast and character. Do you have a gallery on the web?

Seen rather convincing results from this lens on XP2. If it weren't for the fact I just bought another lens, I would have gladly picked this up from Peter.

You could send your photos to voigtlander@gmail.com The R2 is a good choice for entry level RF photography. I am more partial towards manual shutter over electronic shutter. At least when the batteries go dead, I could still estimate the exposure.

I forgot to post here. The Heliar 50mm/2.0 has been sold! Thank goodness that I bought 2 as this lens's construction is the best I have seen in Voigtlander line! Thanks Terence for the bounce and how are you lately?

Glad to hear of the sale Peter. 2 lenses?? Well, good things always come in twos or threes. Been pretty good, thanks, busy spending too much money on camera gear as usual. My RF gear has ventured beyond the realm of traditional 35mm bodies, going into polaroids and medium format stuff these days too.

Spending too much on cameras and gears? Aren't we all guilty of that! So what sort of Medium format stuff you into lately? Game for shoots on the weekends?

Recent acquisitions have included a Holga 120N and Mamiya 7II. I quite enjoy the Mamiya 7, burning through too many rolls of transparencies of late. Can't do weekends la, sorry, the wife will not hear of it. I'm more than happy to do weekdays though.

Quite a collection! What do you use to scan the negatives? I almost forgot about the weekend rule of yours! Weekdays is only possible for me when I am on leave. Will contact you again on that. Meanwhile still have over 2000 scans that I have yet to edit and cleanup!

I picked up an Imacon recently in order to handle a wide range of MF scans. Best to get started, it's horrible having everything pile up and doing it all in one go!

I totally agree that procrastination in film to digital conversion is fatal! I lost momentum due to the overwhelming pressure of work! Need to get up and do some PS editing! Anyway, are you still available to do my R2 and R2A camera porn with my new Heliar 50mm/2.0?
