Voigtlander 15mm F4.5 IIAsp on G1

I understand that Voigtlander and some other mfrs offer converted for the 15mm F4.3 to use on G1 making it a 30mm walk about lens. However, I read from multiple sources that the lens is not optimized for G1 or that G1 sensors is not designed to take light source hitting at angle unlike the M8. The result image can be smushy or blurry on the corners for G1.

Is it true?

I thought of getting V 15mm F4.3 to fit my EP-1 (same sensor as G1). Any comment is helpful.
