Hi guys, is there a way to tell whether the vivitar flash is of a newer or older version just from looking at photos? I'm planning to get 1 or 2 of them, but heard that the older version has got some problems if mounted on digital cams due to the voltage.

These 3 classic flashes from Cash Converter... and it works pretty good... ;)

"Full manual adjustable flash is always the best companion or photographers, professional or amateur. That's why Vivitar 285HV has always been on top of the sales list. However the 285HV had ceased production( dunno how true it is?):bheart:. Here comes the first flash manufactured by Cactus – KF36:heart:."

Hi guys

I have been looking at flashes Sunpak 383 and vivitar 285HV also these couple of days.

@Michaelavaloke2009, thanks for the info on Cactus – KF36.

While googling, I also found this one, it says alternative to sunpak 383 and vivitar 285hv. Quite cheap.
