This stark image of a Chinese opera tent sitting amid us is a stark reminder that something from our distant past may soon sprout wings and fly into our history books.

Maybe it is easier to talk about lost heritage than to try to preserve them.

I am not sure if someone with higher authority is doing something in the background to help these troupes or are their hands tied because of trying to maintain secularism. Or maybe the troupes don't need intervention at all. It is just in my mind when i see this image.:bsmilie:
While there are opera troupes performing on stage, it's flavor is different. It is not street opera.
It is like hanging a work of art meant for a historical site in another location. Something is lost.

It is indeed easier to talk about these things.

It is indeed easier to talk about lost heritage than to preserve them. Maybe in another 5 years down the road, we may not see these troupes anymore. Only the photos are left of showing what it was like.

Bro your latest shots are great!

Strong

Can't believe I was just standing there watching you guys click this, I had none of him haha.

On the contrary i was observing u most of the time to see what u were envisioning haha. :)

Yet another pic of people pulling trolleys and pushing stuff. But hey its a market so i hope that's a legitimate excuse lest i get blamed for being repetitive and having no fresh ideas. :)

Haha, I was trying to record a documentary without it being overly documentary :bsmilie:

Of course, I failed. Wasn't as successful as I had wished but overall satisfactory. Posting a short thread now...

The last time you were taking photos at Clementi, we were surrounded by policemen. But this time only one security guard…we must be loosing our charms.
Btw, I can’t help noticing the man and trolley shots. I remembered that night ,you were saying something about too many of this activity going on. Can’t believe we spent the night chasing man and trolleys. :bsmilie:

But it was good to be doing it in the company of friends!
Thank you !

Working late into the night is never easy as I have worked midnight shifts before. It takes a toll on your body.
