Hanoi
We were very lucky... 6 days of bright sunny days. Rain only fell on our way to the airport for the homebound flight.

We booked a trekking tour from Vega Travel which operates in Hanoi. Costs us USD$108 per person for a 3 days trip. The guide is very good I must say... and the arrangement of accomodation and food is excellent from our experience.

You can go by yourself n arrange the tour in Sapa, but I think savings are at maximum USD$15 at best.

We spend ard $800/pax for the 6 days trip, travel by Tiger Airways.

Thanks wormz appreciate your reply.

You been to Ho Chi Min?

Very nice photo you have there.

You had just brought me for a fast trip to Vietnam for free!

I like the barber shop (sapa), murderous 'taxi driver look' (hanoi) and above all the astronomy shot (sapa).

Mind to share how you did the astronomy shot? I done a few without much success

Nope, only Hanoi and Sapa. HCM is a bit far as its in the south and Hanoi in the north. Given the short duration of the trip, I chose more depth for the 2 places rather than try to cover as much surface as possible :)

Glad you like them as well :) Hmm, for star shots, try to find as dark as place as you can to minimize light pollution. Shoot at largest aperture, pre focus at a far object. For me, I shot at high iso so that I can get the stars as a dot. Longer exposure would have rendered them as trails.

Thanks for sharing. :D

Thanks all for your kind comments. I really enjoyed this trip too with Tulip123. We didn't know each other before the trip, but really had a fantastic 6 days! :)

lovely photos...all of them!\\

question: how u managed to shoot tis starry night shot..it's awesome! care to share some tips?

I think its iso 800, 30 secs. Exposure cannot be too long, else the stars become trails :)

It's just too much.....
Too much good photos. I enjoy a lot

 sapa seem to be a great place for great photographers...
