Video Tripod + Fluid Head Recommendation

Using the above mentioned for filming by either 5DMK2 or 7D mounted. Any one has any good recommendations of the combination above that is not too expensive?

I ordered a Weifeng WF-717AH fluid head from e-bay ($150) after seeing good reviews on youtube. I was really surprised by its performance. I would say comparable to a $1000+ Satchler!
I ordered only the head but the youtube video showed that the legs actually resemble a mini version of Satchler. Anyway, I paired my 717AH with Manfrotto's Neotec tripod ($399)cos I'm a lazy guy who will go handheld if a tripod is too slow to set-up. Must say the combination is rock solid and sets up in about 7 secs and tears down in 4sec assuming your camera is already on the tripod. Now waiting for my Acratech leveling base to arrive ($230)

I have several video heads over the years, manfrotto 501, 503, 701. Miller DV20 & satchler DV4. I gotta say Satchler heads are the most consistent in terms of performance. There are many brands out there the fluid head performs ok 19/20 times than you get one bad pan that ruins the shot. I've experience that with Manfrotto head many times. If u can have several takes, that is fine.. The new Manfrotto 504 looks promising but its not in Singapore yet. If u have the budget, invest in a good head that will last forever. If not, manfrotto is good enough for daily use & abuse

A Weifeng agent in this forum by moniker of eacanaway promises a better deal then ebay. You should give him a try to save on postage. Getting the whole 717A tripod is probably a better deal then just buying the head alone.

one day sure kanna ban by moderators..

this guy go china source for accessories and post it up at bns to post his stuffs..

i heard he sells stuffs like flashes, third party shutter release... tripods..

he will buy 100++ quantity .. and sell them off here to make a profit..

he also have a few runners helping him to sell them off.

i think this is to be fair to the advertisers who pay to post that they are profitable sellers.

Someone just has to complain and mods has to enforce lorz. I don't blame the mods for not being able to catch such cases cause I think there are so many things up their hands already.
