Got a panasonic old model display set HDC SD100 for S$799 for HD using SD card to record. Using standard battery last for 2 hours of recording for non stop full charge usage.

But cannot compare the video quality for blu ray disc in retail store, does not seems to look very clear sharp. Or I demand too much for HD camcorder as this is very normal?

It had accessory shoe, stereo mic input and headphone. But if record using built in mic can only in 5.1 channel which had not try in church like zone meeting, cell group, services or concert to get the effect.

My old video camera is now under repair to replace the parts for faulty mainboard with labour charges together S$250 at service centre for MINIDV tape type recording Canon MD120 purchase since July 07 no extended warrenty.

Here is the test video at 1080P in AVCHD video format over 30 sec short clip.

OK, thanks, any comment?

Should I spend more money like S$2k for newer panasonic model like TM300 come with MIC stereo input, headphone and accessory shoe or you will think made no different for HD video recording into SD card AVCHD format?

i heard TM300 is gd... but sg dont sell right??

for me i m normal user so i will rather buy in court or safe and extend the warrent to 5yr warrently
in my past, i had a dv cam it spoilt after 2-3yr and lucky i had 5yr warrntly & saved at few hundred on repair

I had the current flyer about panasonic product, not sure if sell in Singapore for TM300.

Ha ha, are you sure? Maybe the last thing you buy was Video8 camcorder? :)

Should I send in this unit to panasonic service centre see if they could enhance the video image quality? Wait they return to me after service make it worse how?

The quote extended warranty 2 and 3 years cost $165 include GST at service centre cover only in Singapore for this unit which need to purchase within 12 months since date of purchase of this unit.

My canon unit MD120 minidv tape camcorder was repaired at a cost of S$115 exclude GST now ready for collection.

I think the problem here is ur expectation la. Our normal consumer video cam hd footage will not compare well with the commercial produced blu-ray footage.

but it come with local warranty or ???

it abit risk where it dont come with a local warranty whereby sometime the cam is spoit...and send to repair can cost more..
