Video monitor

Hi everyone, i'm looking for a video monitor for my HVR-HD1000 as the DOF adapter i bought does not flip the image back to normal.
I would need to have it mounted on the hot-shoe mount. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I'm not sure if it works on your Sony cam model....
If your cam does allow you to turn the LCD forward (and the image gets flipped), you may want to slide a small magnet around the area of the LCD swivel joint. This may trigger the image to flip on the LCD.

Most Sony camcorders (e.g. FX1, Z1, Z7, etc) has this ability. I've had used a DOF adapter before (without the flip module), and this trick works. I used a small but strong magnet that I extracted from a mooncake cardboard box.

A video monitor also called a broadcast monitor, broadcast reference monitor or just reference monitor, is a device similar to a television, used to monitor the output of a video-generating device, such as a media playout server, IRD, video camera, VCR, or DVD player. It may or may not have audio monitoring capability. Unlike a television, a video monitor has no tuner and, as such, is unable independently to tune into an over-the-air broadcast. One common use of video monitors is in Television stations and in outside broadcast vehicles, where broadcast engineers use them for confidence checking of signals throughout the system. Video monitors are used extensively in the security industry with Closed-circuit television cameras and recording devices.

Your not human are you? Looks like spambot garbage to me.

More like a spambot to me...

Anyway back to topic. The magnet hack didn't work for me. :( instead of flipping the image, the magnet turned the LCD off.
Still looking for an external screen I can use. I'm looking at below $80 for about 2.5 inch screen.
