very random physics qn

One advise.. or tips..

If you wanna understand the physics, you got to polish up your maths (not saying ur maths no gd ar.. just saying muz polish until shiny shiny.. don't misunderstand ;) )

That's what I realise after going thru the engineering course..

Study all the physic concepts but doing all the maths.... :bsmilie:

cause i'm doing physics olympiad competition. needa prep up on this:rolleyes:

sadly this one i gotta agree:rolleyes:

well. its back to mugging dydx all day long liao.

on the other hand, physicists like to do stuff that mathematicians always frown on:angel: cause if we dun we find ourselves unable to solve anything:p

That is like S paper stuff.. normal A level (H2?) shouldn't have it lah..

yea. last time was A and S. now its h2 and h3 :)

this will fall as uni first year/h3. nowadays their h3 is really hiong one. relativity is part of it. sat in for the lesson. totally blurred outta it:rolleyes:

WOah, tht's wad jc ppl learn o_O

I just realize I can't teach basic Physics anymore for tuition :cry:

My idea of "basic" Physics is Pure Physics at O levels. Haha. Thats the max I would teach for tuition. My max I'd teach Maths is H1. Cmi la my maths. After uni, gone liao, although I did maths in uni. :bsmilie:

That is so normal...actually I can still remember how to do differentiation on 3 dimension.... but if you really want me to do, pls give me a few days to read up again.:bsmilie:

oh no pls dun =.= i dun even know how to add vectors in 3d :cry: then dunno wad cross 3d vectors stuff. totally lost

lets start a new social group. CS geeks club. next time got any gl physics qn i just post here for help ok?

I not physics geek. I more maths geek. Which straight-minded woman go and choose to study Applied Maths in NUS?
.
.
.
.
.

Me. =_=

Guess what? I'm actually a statistical officer la. One level below a statistician. Zzzzz.

good:thumbsup: math is the most pure subject. and physics is applied math anyways:lovegrin:

i wanna go nus and study theoretical physics. string theory looks quite cool:lovegrin:

Dunno what string theory. I only can remember coding theory now. And ODEs. Ok, more like modelling via ODEs. But that's it. Maths was too dry then. So I lost interest. Lol!!

You cannot just bring dt over to f. Differentiation is not like fraction.

f= d(mv)/dt

In this case, u apply product rule.

f= m (dv/dt) + v (dm/dt)

1) By keeping mass of the car constant with varying velocities => m(dv/dt)

2) By keeping the velocity of the car constant with varying mass => v(dm/dt)

For 1), in 1 second, m(dv/dt) = (100)((100-10)/1) = 9000kgm/s^2

For 2), in 1 second, v(dm/dt) = (100)((10-100)/1) = -9000kgm/s^2

Congrats... you just remind me of my old flame. Physics..... It's been like decades.

LOL string theory is not maths lar!
its a theory tat attempts to reconcil quantum mechanics with einstein's relativity:bsmilie: and i wanna do that research. its cool:thumbsup:
and here are some problems which i hope to have a hand in when i get older

good! seems like physics is quite an attractive lovable topic:heart:

cause i'm doing physics olympiad competition. needa prep up on this:rolleyes:

let me tell you, you can prepare and prepare, in the end the jokers who have been reading university physics for fun when they are bored at home after finishing their homework will own you.

"physics is better than porn" - that's what someone told me before.

LOL hehe i'm the kind that says physics is better than porn in my sch at least:embrass:

and i'm not surprised lar. physics olympiad is just applied math.:sweat: i just wanna study more abt something i love. win or lose i dun really care:lovegrin:

koplady=xmm?

wow.. your vital stats muz be good then.. 2nd only to a statistician..

Finally.. the cat speaks.....
