Verdict on new Zeiss Ikon lens?

Anyone got any of these lenses yet? How is it compared to voigtlander lens since it is made by Cosina as well. Hopefully they are better because the 35mm and 50mm of zeiss has smaller aperture than voigtlander's so I hope they can justify the price by its picture quality.

The Zeiss glass tends to have better edge to edge sharpness over the CV counterparts. They are also slightly smaller in size as compared to the CVs. I'm eagerly waiting for the 15mm and 85mm to arrive.

I am waiting for the 85mm as well, its too bad the CV 90mm is way slow at F4.5
The Zeiss 15mm is crazy to have an aperture of 2.8, I hope they can make a great lens out of the 15mm and 85mm since both of these lens are not made by Cosina out of the 7 planned lenses.

I am still thinking whether its worth it to buy the zeiss 35mm and 50mm since I have the 35mm 1.7 and 50mm 1.5 of Voigt and I need all the light I can get most of the time.

I like my Zeiss 35mm over both the 35 Ultron and Nokton, mainly because of the size and slightly better sharpness.

The CV 90 is a 3.5, not 4.5. It's a lovely sharp lens, one of the few long lenses which focuses accurately with the R-D1, it's the only reason I'm keeping it.

note that though i will point pple to his site, I still do not believe he is completely objective as his relationship with Leica contradicts his claim of objectivity. However, in the article above, he does seem to think highly of the ZI lenses!

Lets hope Ernst Wildi will review the Zeiss Ikon lens hehehehe
